“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same,

the Lord’s name is to be praised!”  Psalms 113:3

Elder Deborah Vaneese Carter

Answering the Lord’s call in 1986, Elder Carter was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by First Missionary Baptist Church. She served in the Mass Choir, Intercessory Prayer Ministry and on the Ministerial Team. She was ordained an Elder in May of 1994. In her capacity as First Lady, she serves as Overseer over the Daughters of Destiny Women’s Ministry.

Armed with her love for God, the Spirit of the Lord and the commission God gave her, Elder Carter ministers to the hurting, the wounded,  the broken hearted, the bruised, those who are bound and to those whose scars are hidden. She is God’s prayer warrior and God’s intercessor. She is an anointed vessel ordained by God to preach the Word of God to the people of God.

Elder Deborah Vanesse Carter is the First Lady of First Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta, Georgia, where her husband, Bishop C. L. Carter, Sr. is founder and Pastor.

Elder Carter is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, the mother of three children, the grandmother
of nine, and the great grandmother of one. She along with her sister, Sheila, are the owners of Boswell’s Beauty Palace in College  Park, Georgia. First Lady Carter is also a real estate agent with Solid Source Realty.

The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”   Luke 4:18-19
